Web Traffic Reports
In August of 2005, we migrated our main site to a new server (http://orion.lib.virginia.edu/thdl) and began the process of consolidating our other materials onto this single machine. Thus, the information of this page is out of date. Once the new site is consolidated and up and running, we will implement traffic reporting software and update this page. Thanks for your patience!

This section of the collaborative tools provides links to traffic reports for the websites and databases that are the resources within THDL. It is important for any website—and especially educational websites—to have a clear indication of how they are being accessed: total number of hits, most popular pages, dispersion of users around the globe, and so forth. At present, the active THDL website and databases reside on a number of servers. However, our main server is Iris (http://iris.lib.virginia.edu). While this server used to support sophisticated traffic analysis software, limited resources have required that this service be discontinued. We are presently (March, 2005) investigating other options for that traffic report.
The Library has also made available for download a number of electronic tools, resources, and reference materials. These downloads are available to users without cost. However, we ask that each user register with THDL prior to downloading so that the we can measure the needs of our users and the usefulness of these tools we provide. The third link above goes to an up-to-date tabulation of the download statistics for these tools.
