Developer's Toolbox
The Tibetan and Himalayan Digital Library (THDL) represents the work of many individuals from different institutions around the globe. The growing digital community focused on the research and study of the Tibetan and Himalayan region involves scholars, librarians, archivists, technologists, teachers, artists, photographers and others. A crucial partnership in this community is between technologists and researchers. Technologists are vital partners in this new era of digital scholarship, and their role extends deep into intellectual domains of THDL as well as its digital depths.
To support technologists, THDL offers this special area dedicated to developers of technology as for Tibetan and Himalayan Studies. Some of the information is only relevant to projects and individuals building and managing resources within THDL, and hence is password protected, while other areas are open to the public. We are always looking for new partners to join THDL's open source and multi-centered approach to building knowledge and its tools, so we welcome technologists to contact us at thdltools@virginia.edu. Read more about our policy of Collaborative Documentation which invites input from all THDL users.
