Columbia University (www.columbia.edu): this offers one of the major Tibetan Studies graduate programs in the U.S., with a Buddhist Studies program in the Religious Studies Department led by Robert Thurman and a modern Tibet program in the East Asia Institute led by Robbie Barnett.

Education section of Tibetan and Himalayan Digital Library
Education section of Tibetan and Himalayan Digital Library (iris.lib.virginia.edu/tibet/education/): at present this only has two significant resources, one being an extensive multimedia model for teaching Tibetan Buddhist Culture by David Germano, and more importantly the world's largest on-line instructional program in Tibetan language. The latter is due for an initial public release as of September 1, 2003, and the basic outline of the plans can be seen online as of now.
