Troubleshooting
The present page documents whom to contact if you experience problems of any type with THDL pages. THDL@virginia.edu can be used for contacting us for any reason, but there are also other addresses that allow you to contact more directly the relevant THDL staff
A program doesn't work or page won't come up?
If a given THDL page won't come up for you or work properly, there are four general possibilities:
- Your computer is not properly prepped with free fonts and plug-ins: The solution is to visit http://orion.lib.virginia.edu/thdl/tools/viewing.html and prep your computer.
- THDL temporary server or program problems: Contact us and we will promptly restart it (see below for addresses).
- Page or program error on THDL's side: Contact us and we will fix the page in question (see below for addresses).
- Firewall and access blocks on your side, especially if you are accessing the internet through a controlled corporate site: Use another internet connection or talk to your company Web administrator. However, also report to us the problem and we will assess if there is anything we can do from our side.
