Announcements for Tibetan and Himalayan Studies: Submissions and Overview

Announcements allows for postings of various events and opportunities in Tibetan and Himalayan Studies. Please note that the announcements are ordered chronologically in terms of when they were posted in THDL, and NOT in terms of the date of the announced event's own occurence.

We welcome announcements of the following types:

• Conferences
• Exhibitions
• Grant opportunities
• Job postings
• Lectures
• Project Updates
• Publications

If you are interested in helping manage THDL's announcements section, please contact us. Our software allows all management to be done over the Web. However, we do not at present offer a public interface for anyone to use to submit announcements. If you have an announcement, we encourage users to contact us at thdlcommunity@virginia.edu. Please use the following format to submit announcements:

• DD-MM-YYYY (Type of posting). Title (URL). Details.
• Uploads: you can send lengthier materials by attachment for people to follow up on if you don't have a URL.

An example:

• 01-06-2003 (Conference). The 10th Seminar of the International Association of Tibetan Studies (www.wolfson.ox.ac.uk/iats). This is the world's preeminent international conference on Tibetan Studies, and is held every three years. Scholars from a wide range of disciplines and nations gather at each conference. The 10th Seminar is to be held at Oxford University on September 6-12th, 2003.
