Clinical Practice in Tibetan Medicine
This page offers resources for the study of the practice of Tibetan medicine, intending primarily to appeal to those with interests in alternative traditions of health care and the practical clinical applications of Tibetan medicine in Tibet or abroad.
Spotlight
Several articles on SARS and Tibetan medicine have been posted on the Tibetan Medicine Discussion Forum.
Filmed entirely in Lhasa, the THDL clinical practice video collection includes video titles on gastro-intestinal, liver, and musculoskeletal disorders, as well as other topics--see the thematically organized video tree for more.
The TMLR project features short in-progress essays available for preliminary reading on the following topics: Clinical Diagnosis, Therapeutics, Nosology, and The Human Body. These and other essays will be developed during 2003.

Tibetan Medicine Discussion Forum: Join the academic discussion forum for translation issues, historical and ethnographic observations or questions, and other theoretical and practical concerns that arise in the study of Tibetan medicine. Grants for research on Tibetan medicine are posted on the forum as well.

Projects
Currently active within the Medicine Collections is Tibetan Medicine Learning Resources, which is developing a set of multimedia instructional materials to aid in the study and teaching of Tibetan medicine. Among other topics, the project focuses on the practice of Clinical Medicine in Lhasa today.
