Panoramas of Sera Monastery in Tibet
In front of the Métsang Regional House (smad gtsang khang tshan = s015)

This panorama is taken in front of the Métsa regional house. The initial image is looking south toward the rear (northern) wall of the Métsang Regional House (smad gtsang khang tshan = s009). As you pan to the right, you come to the front façade of the Métsa Regional House temple, with a very small kitchen (yellow in color) to the right of the temple. The entryway to the compound that one sees to the right of the kitchen leads to a walkway that flanks the Tantric College Assembly Hall along its Western façade (not visible). Continuing to the right, the building behind the dilapidated wall belongs to the Latakmo Apartment Compound (lwa ba ltag mo spyi khang = s016), which is in ruins. Instructions: Click on the panorama and, holding down your mouse, move it ("pan") to the left or right. You will see that the image moves in the direction you have selected. You can also zoom in and out using the +/- controls at the bottom of each panorama or the Shift/Ctrl keys on your computer keyboard. If you have zoomed in, you can also make the image move up or down to a certain extent. |
