Panoramas of Sera Monastery in Tibet
The Courtyard of the Chétsa Regional House (byes tsha khang tshan =s003)
(See map below for location and link to interactive map)
This was one of the largest regional houses in all of Sera. The initial shot is of the front façade of the regional house temple. As you pan to the right, you see a wall with trees behind it. This was the regional house dharma enclosure (chos rwa). Continuing to the right you see a juniper burning vessel (bsangs khung), and next to it, a row with five mani-wheels. Monks' living quarters surround the courtyard on three sides. Instructions: Click on the panorama and, holding down your mouse, move it ("pan") to the left or right. You will see that the image moves in the direction you have selected. You can also zoom in and out using the +/- controls at the bottom of each panorama or the Shift/Ctrl keys on your computer keyboard. If you have zoomed in, you can also make the image move up or down to a certain extent. |
