Panoramas of Sera Monastery in Tibet
At the Stupa Commemorating Geshé Senggé (dge bshes seng ge'i mchod rten = s058)
(See map below for location and link to interactive map)
Two women sit on a bench, relaxing after having circumambulated the stupa. Behind them is the Sera Central "Sand Street" (bye gzhung). Pan to the left and you will see the stupa surrounded by mani-wheels. Continue panning left. Behind the old monk is the Samlo Apartment House (bsam lo spyi khang = s054), otherwise known as Chöndze ling (chos mdzad gling). Continuing left, in the distance, beneath the mountain, you can see the corner of the Purchok Lama's Residence (phur lcog bla brang = s055). Instructions: Click on the panorama and, holding down your mouse, move it ("pan") to the left or right. You will see that the image moves in the direction you have selected. You can also zoom in and out using the +/- controls at the bottom of each panorama or the Shift/Ctrl keys on your computer keyboard. If you have zoomed in, you can also make the image move up or down to a certain extent. |
