Panoramas of Sera Monastery in Tibet
The Anterior Courtyard (s043z) of the Sera Tantric College (sngags pa grwa tshang = s043)

The opening shot is of the west entrance to the courtyard (left) flanked on the right by a storeroom. As you move the panorama to the right, you see the front steps of the main temple (‘du khang). Further right, you see a yellow wall and beside it, the entrance into the Tantric College Dharma Enclosure (chos rwa). This courtyard is the site of burnt-offering rituals, performed after the major ritual cycles of the college.
Instructions: Click on the panorama and, holding down your mouse, move it ("pan") to the left or right. You will see that the image moves in the direction you have selected. You can also zoom in and out using the +/- controls at the bottom of each panorama or the Shift/Ctrl keys on your computer keyboard. If you have zoomed in, you can also make the image move up or down to a certain extent. |
