Panoramas of Sera Monastery in Tibet
At the Northwestern Corner of the Monastery

Begin by zooming out, and you'll see the mountains northwest of the monastery. As you pan right, to the left of the path, behind the telephone pole, you see the long Métsa Apartment Building (smad tsha spyi khang = s013). To the right of the path, you see the Western wall of the Chétsang Regional House (byes gtsang khang tshan = s008). Continuing right, in the distance you see the northern façade of the Sera Tekchen "New House" (se ra theg chen khang gsar = s007). Instructions: Click on the panorama and, holding down your mouse, move it ("pan") to the left or right. You will see that the image moves in the direction you have selected. You can also zoom in and out using the +/- controls at the bottom of each panorama or the Shift/Ctrl keys on your computer keyboard. If you have zoomed in, you can also make the image move up or down to a certain extent. |
