The THDL portal for Tibetan Monasteries provides historical and contemporary documentation via textual and visual resources. See our featured projects for rich, multimedia studies of specific Tibetan monasteries that combine images, maps, text, audio, video, and immersive objects. We are at present working on a broader and more shallow coverage of Tibetan monasteries using the Gazetteer and GIS maps, but this is not yet available to the public.
