Lhasa Virtual Reality via Google Earth

Download this zipped Lhasa KMZ file to your hard drive, unzip it, then double click on the lhasapanos.kmz file to open it in Google Earth.

When it's open, you may select from the various nodes of interest in the Lhasa area map. Links to see and hear QuickTime Virual Reality files from that location appear in each node's dialog box.

Or, look to the left sidebar in Google Earth for "My Places" (if "My Places" is not showing. look under menu Tools -> Sidebar and make sure the sidebar is turned on - it will have a check next to it). The five links to the Lhasa virtual reality files should automatically be placed in there.

Please mind that these are 360° panoramic images with sound, not movies; when the panorama loads in the lower window of Google Earth, click and move it with your mouse to turn your viewpoint.

Requires Google Earth 4.0, as well as QuickTime, both of which are free and fairly quick and easy to download and install.
