The Gazetteer of Tibet and the Himalayas is a searchable guide to names and basic descriptive information for places of all types, along with digital map output.
Search TBRC's Tibetan Places
The Tibetan Buddhist Recource Center also maintains a database of Tibetan places. Enter Tibetan terms using Wylie Transliteration. "Places" is selected by default, but you can also select from the different criteria. For TBRC search details, see the TBRC search page.
