Projects

Currently under development within the Architecture Collections:

Lhasa Today: A team of scholars are now focusing on a documentation project of historically important building sites in and around Lhasa.

Sera Monastery: Photographic, ethnographic, and schematic study of the grounds and inhabitants of one of Tibet's premier monastic educational institutions.

The Meru Nyingba: Architectural drawings and ethnographic studies from a vibrant religious center in Lhasa.

Village architecture: Documentation of architectural styles and building techniques in villages in Kongpo, in Gyama, and in Western regions such as Rutok, Shide, Purang, Tolung, and so forth.

Historical sites: Video, photographic, and ethnographic studies of historical sites in the Yarlung valley.
